Constitution to Nature
Fri, July 05, 2024
Join Ranger Jamie in learning about the U.S. Constitution, Oak-gall ink, and practice your penmanship skills using ink and a feather quill!
In celebration of Independence Day, we will be learning about the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We will also learn about the ink they were written with, and then everyone will get a chance to write their own version of the Preamble (with a nature twist) using ink and a feather quill!
Wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting ink on (just in case)!
Meet at Central Park under the big Oak tree at the picnic tables at 9am.
Please note: You do NOT need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online!
