Partial Eclipse Viewing
Mon, April 08, 2024
Join us for the partial eclipse
Join us at the swim beach to safely view the partial solar eclipse. We will have some pinhole projectors, telescope, and other fun and safe ways to view the eclipse.
Weather Note: Please be advised that the current weather forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies. We will still be set up, but clouds may prevent us from directly viewing the eclipse.
The partial eclipse will start around 12:22PM, be at maximum around 1:41PM, and end at 3PM.
Never look at the sun without proper eye protection. Learn more about how to safely view the eclipse from NASA: https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/safety/
This program is free to attend with paid park entrance ($4 per adult, kids 12 and under are free), or a Texas State Park Pass.
