Birding with a Ranger

Join a ranger and discover and learn about the great hobby of birding!
Birdwatching (birding) is a great outdoor activity, and Lake Casa Blanca is a great place to start! More than 200 different types of birds have been spotted around the lake. Join us and find out what the buzz is all about! As we explore different areas of the park, we'll discuss tricks for using binoculars and learn how to identify the beautiful birds you will see and hear!
Meet: Boat Ramp Restrooms
Bring:
- Good walking shoes
- Dress for the weather
- Water
- Binoculars (not required). Very limited binocular supplies provided by the park.
Difficulty: Easy activity level, some uneven terrain. All experience levels and ages welcome.
Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance ($4 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are free). No need to register -- just show up!
*Park programs are considered cancelled if no participants arrive after 15 minutes*.
