Nightime Critter Crawl!

Join Park Rangers on a short night hike to see some nocturnal animals.

Come along for a short but fun night hike so we can see what critters we can find in the dark! We will be using blacklights to find glow-in-the-dark scorpions, spider-sniffing to find wolf spiders, and keeping our eyes and ears open for other nocturnal animals! 

Meet: CCC Refectory/Castle. Parking will be limited so please carpool if possible! The hike starts at 9pm but we will start parking cars at 8:30pm, please arrive no later than 8:50pm to ensure time to park and listen to the safety briefing before the group leaves for the trailhead. 

Bring: closed-toed shoes, flashlights (preferably red flashlights if you have them), drinking water

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $5 for everyone 13 years and older, free for 12 and under. Please pre-purchase your Day-Use pass ahead of time for this program.

• All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• If no participants arrive by 15 minutes past the listed start time, the program will be considered canceled.
