How To Pitch a Tent

Learn the basics of pitching a tent while camping!

Join Ranger Eric at the Archery Range at 1PM on December 27th to learn the basics of pitching a tent while camping! This program is mostly directed towards kids who have never set up a tent by themselves before, but anyone is welcome!

We will have twelve small camping tents for guests to use during the program. Ranger Eric will demonstrate how to pitch a tent before allowing visitors to practice their skills on one of the twelve tents that will be supplied. Guests will not be taking the tents home with them and will only be using them during the program. 

As long we are not in a burn ban at the time of the program, a campfire and smores will also be provided! 

Because supplies are limited, tents will be lent to visitors on a first come first serve basis. However, if more than one person per tent shows up, people who are left over are more than welcome to help those who showed up first set up the tent or make smores while they wait!
