See some living history as thousands of spiders work to create a massive web that spans multiple trees.
Lake Tawakoni State Park made international news in 2007 for a spider web much like this one. This guided hike along Spring Point Trail will take you to the heart of the spider webs currently being built at the park. Learn about spiders, and about this amazing phenomenon. This hike is for all ages. Meet the ranger at the trail head for Spring Point located near the swim beach.
When: August 3rd 8:30am-9:30am
Difficulty: Easy
Length: 1.2 miles on mostly level terrain
Meet: Parking lot by the trailhead of Spring Point Trail
Bring: Water, close-toed shoes, sunscreen, insect repellant
Cost: Free with park admission ($5.00 per person 13 and over)
