Are you and Bingo ready to set off to Lake Tawakoni State Park? Is your furry companion ready to become a P.A.W. Ranger and embark on a trip to remember? Adventures like these will provide all furry tails with a tale or two to share when they return home. Ready…set… woof — here you come!

Since each state park offers its own set of terrain, wildlife, layouts and rules, our P.A.W. Ranger program is uniquely designed around our specific park — the program is not a one-size fits all approach. The goal of the program is to increase awareness of positive pet behaviors and reduce the number of pet-related accidents within a park.

All breeds and ages are welcome, as long as your furry friend is friendly and leash trained.

P.A.W. stands for: 

• Picking up after your pet's waste
• Always keeping your pet on a leash
• Walking with respect for wildlife and other park friends

A ranger will be able to swear in your furry friend and provide you with a certificate and sticker badge on the day of the sign-up rally. Becoming a P.A.W. Ranger means following the principles of P.A.W. and sharing those principles with other furry explorers. 

• What to bring: Yourself and your furry best friend.
• Meet: Table will be located near the swim beach area.
• This program is FREE with park entry ($5 per person aged 13 and older).
