"All Things GREEN" Alphabet Hunt
Sat, April 26, 2025
It's always fun to explore Lake Whitney State Park, add the challenge of looking for anything green but it must correspond to the letters of the alphabet to celebrate earth day month. It's an exciting way to connect with nature and learn about the environment while hunting for GREEN treasures!
Happy Earth Day Month!
Let's start your hunt at the park office to get the Alphabet sheet from 9:00am -3:00pm. Head into the park looking for things that are green. To help with the difficult letters, we have placed a few items for you to find too. Jot the item description on the matching letter line and check off that letter.
Here are examples:
- The letter is A and your answer is a Green algae (found at Clay Banks Day use area)
- The letter is T and your answer is a Green tree (spotted by park office)
Once you find them all or as many as you can, return to the office to share your answers and get a treat.
This is a free event with a paid park entry for day use or camping.
Reservations can be made online at https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/reservations/ or by contacting our reservations center at 512-389-8900, Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
We're excited to see what green treasures your find!
