City Nature Challenge Bioblitz

Let's see how many different species we can find and identify in 1 hour at Lockhart State Park!
Join us for a bioblitz at Lockhart State Park! This bioblitz is part of the City Nature Challenge, a friendly competition that encourages folks (like you!) to explore and document the nature in their cities. Anyone can participate and no experience necessary. All ages welcome.
Prepare: Download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to our event, if desired (this is optional, but encouraged!). Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. Our walk will likely be 1/2-mile on easy terrain. No registration required.
Meet: Meet your guide at the Clear Fork Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first right-hand turn to park in the playground parking lot. Walk across the field (past the basketball court) to the Clear Fork Trailhead.
Fees: This program is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.
