Campfire 101: Making Camping S’more Fun

Join us for a fire-building demonstration!

Campfires often go hand and hand with camping, so come learn how to build one safely with a live lesson! We will go over different ignition and fuel sources. If you want to, feel free to BYOS - Bring Your Own S'mores! All ages welcome.

Prepare: Bring your own chair/blanket and ingredients for s'mores, if you want to. No registration required. 

Meet: Meet in the park picnic area. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the picnic area parking lot. There is no seating provided around the campfire ring, so bring your own chair or blanket, if desired. 

Fees: This class is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event of a burn ban, we will not be able to actually light the campfire.  However, we will still go through the process and supply an approved fire for your s'mores.
