Discover the constellations that decorate our winter sky and listen to the exciting tales that surround them!

Many ancient cultures saw pictures in the stars at night and spun tales to explain how and why these pictures came to be in the heavens. In this storytelling program, you’ll learn to identify constellations in the night sky and hear their stories from several different cultures. All ages welcome.

If the sky is too cloudy to identify constellations (over 40% cloud cover), we will make planispheres instead.

Prepare: You may want to bring bug repellent, a chair/blanket, and a flashlight. No registration required.

Meet: At the Park Headquarters building.  We will walk down the cart path to our No. 1 fairway.

Fees: Program is free with entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under. If our office is closed when you arrive, please use the self-pay station at park HQ to check into the park.
