Fishing 101

Join Ranger Chris for an introduction to fishing!

Chris will cover all the basics, including knot tying, fish ID, lure/bait selection, and casting.  Then, try your hand at fishing in Clear Fork Creek!  Fishing poles will be available to borrow through our free Tackle Loaner Program on a first come first served basis.  We'll even supply the bait!  No fishing license required.  All ages and abilities are welcome!

Prepare:  Wear sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, and bring your own water.  You may also bring your own equipment and bait, if you like. 

Meet:  Meet in the picnic area of the park. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the picnic area parking lot.

Fees:  Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).
