Bird Walk

How many birds can we find and identify around Lockhart State Park? Take a walk with a ranger to find out! All ages and experience levels welcome.

Prepare: Dress for the weather (sturdy shoes and layers recommended) and bring water. Bring binoculars and a field guide, if you have them. Materials will also be available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration required.

Meet: In the picnic area of the park. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the picnic area parking lot.

Fees: This program is free with entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.
