TRAIL OF TERROR

Do you dare to be scared? Tickets required.

Are you brave enough to hike a haunted trail in the dark?  If so, don’t miss this year’s TRAIL OF TERROR, presented by Lockhart High School’s Drama Club in collaboration with Lockhart State Park! The trail is about 1/2-mile long and crawling with the undead, monsters, and more. Due to graphic content, we recommend this activity for ages 10+. Hike at your own risk.

Tickets

This year, participants must buy tickets to attend, and tickets are $10 per person.  CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS.  Start times are in five-minute intervals between 7:30 and 9:30pm. Only two to five participants will be allowed per start time. Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Prepare

Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. The hike is ~1/2-mile on moderate terrain with several steep and dark areas. You are allowed to bring one flashlight per group, but we may cover it in red cellophane to make it darker. The booster club will be onsite with homemade baked goods and souveniers by donation, so you may want to bring some extra cash for snacks.  Please leave cell phones and dogs at home.

Meet

Meet us at the Park Recreation Hall 15 minutes before your ticketed start time. If driving from park headquarters, continue straight (up the hill) on Park Road 10 until you arrive at the Rec Hall parking lot.  If you arrive at the Rec Hall later than your ticketed start time, you may not be permitted to participate.

Conduct

All of the actors and actresses who put on this event are teenagers from Lockhart High School's Drama Club. Please do not touch or curse at these students. If you behave aggressively, you will be escorted off the trail.
