Join a park ranger to learn some bird watching basics.
Have you ever wondered what birds you see in your parks, neighborhood or own backyard?
Learn some tips to finding and identifying birds along with a few handy tools and apps that can aid you on your journey.
After a brief intro, we'll go for a short walk on the nature trail, looking for birds.
Bring:
- Binoculars (or borrow a pair from the park)
- Water or water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Bird identification books and/or apps (handy apps to download in advance are: Merlin (for identifying birds by sight and sound) and eBird (for reporting bird sightings to help with citizen science!)
