Big and Bright Stars
Sat, March 14, 2026
Come join park staff to look at the stars and planets through a telescope and learn about how stars are born and the legendary figures the constellations are named after!
If the stars at night are big and bright, then come to the park and say, "What a sight!"
Come join park rangers to gaze at the stars in the middle of our Nabedache Prairie. Learn how to pinpoint key stars and planets in the night sky and perhaps see one of them up close through a telescope!
Please keep in mind this program is outdoors and after dusk, so dress warm and don't forget to bring a seat!
The stargazing location is a half-mile hike from the commemorative mission along the Nabedache Loop.
