Night Hike - Fall Trees and Tall Tales
Sat, October 25, 2025
Night Hikes are back! Come to Mission Tejas State Park for an evening hike with park staff and hear tall tales and legends of the people who lived here and the beasts they told stories of.
The woods of East Texas are home to many stories, some real, some imaginary, and some that may be in the middle.
Come join us for a spooky night-hike for the Halloween season as we take a walk through the woods at night. The park interpreter will tell you fascinating tales about the peoples of the land and the legendary figures they spoke about while looking for nocturnal critters on the trail!
The hike will be of moderate difficulty, a little over a mile along a slope; so be prepared for an uphill hike on the way back.
