Night Sense - Ranger Led Night Hike
Fri, October 11, 2024
Come join the park ranger on a night hike and learn how nocturnal animals use the 5 senses to navigate and live in the dark!
When the sun goes down, a unique community of wildlife emerges, looking for food and mates, avoiding predators while they do so.
Even in the dark, these animals are able to move, feed and live using the 5 senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing in fascinating ways.
Come join the park interpreter for an evening hike on our Steep Ravine Trail and see what night life will call or may appear! We will be participating in different activities to showcase how different our senses become when in the woods at night.
The hike will be moderate difficulty over a long slope down then up so please be prepared for an uphill hike. Overall distance will be a little under a mile.
