Tejas Timber Nature Hike

2:00p to 3:00p
Sat, November 23, 2024
Noah Duke
(936) 687-2394

Come join the park interpreter for a guided nature walk on the Tejas Timber Trail. Come see how the changing seasons impact the scenery of the forest and learn about how wildlife prepares for the incoming winter.

As the leaves on the trees change colors, temperatures drop, and migrating birds fill the sky, we can see how wild residents prepare during the changing seasons. Come spend an afternoon at Mission Tejas State Park with a ranger and learn more about the changing woods during a guided hike. The trail is an easy, half-mile loop. After the hike, you can stick around and take a look at pelts and skulls of some of the park's most common residents. Restrooms and water fountains will be available.

Where: We will meet at the playground in the park's day-use area.

When: Every Saturday of November at 2:00 PM.

Cost: Regular admission into the park; $3/person. Kids 12 and under, as well as carriers of a valid Texas State Parks Pass, get in for free!
