Birding with a Park Ranger

Summer is a great time to experience the birds who are returning to Palo Duro Canyon.

Summer is a great time to experience the birds who are returning to Palo Duro Canyon.

Join park staff and volunteers on this fun walk as we search for some of the flying residents of the park.

Things You Should Know:

• Meet: Wolfberry camping loop near Juniper Riverside Trail access.
• Bring: 1 liter of water per person per mile, comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, your binoculars and bird guides if you have them. Some binoculars will be available to borrow as well as bird checklists. Binoculars and guides are helpful, but definitely not required.
• Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before event).

This program may be cancelled due to weather.
