Join us as we celebrate the living heritage of Palo Duro Canyon!

Join us as we celebrate the living heritage of Palo Duro Canyon!

More than 15 organizations from across the Panhandle will have booths and demonstrations set up to celebrate the living heritage of Palo Duro Canyon.

Each chuck wagon will prepare an authentic chicken fried steak lunch with all the trimmings. Lunch will be served at 12 noon.

Once the Chuck Wagon Roundup is finished. Swing by the Sad Monkey Mercantile for a relaxed afternoon and evening of music, food, and drinks. The Sad Monkey is a mile east of the state park entrance on Tx 217.

The Roundup is sponsored by the Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation. All proceeds from the Chuck Wagon Roundup will go to Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation. The foundation supports many important needs within the park, most recently buying gates for all trailheads to keep visitors off the trails and safe when temperature alerts are issued in the summer.
