Slice of Palo Duro Pie

Learn about the geology that makes up each slice of Palo Duro Canyon in this short hike.

Join our rangers for a short hike along the Triassic and CCC Trails (approximately 1 mile roundtrip) and learn about the unique geology that shapes each slice of Palo Duro Canyon. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the canyon's geology up close and personal.

Things You Should Know:

Meet: Triassic Trailhead

Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots

Cost: This event is free to the public after regular day use or camping fees. Park admission is also free with a Texas State Park Pass (must be purchased before the event).

Weather: This program may be canceled due to weather conditions.
