Solar Spectacles

The sun is more than just a big ball of fire in the sky! Come learn all about our amazing star!

Join us to learn about the power of the sun! Observe it through a telescope, make a sunprint, and enjoy some solar s'mores! 

Time: 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM

Meet: Pavilion (Day Use)

Bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, good hiking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, & snack. 

Cost: Free with admission ($5 per person 13+ years). Admission free with annual pass.

Purtis Creek has one grit wheelchair readily available for checkout. Please contact Ranger Jenna at Jenna.Lombard@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve & check availability.
