Hike with a Ranger

Learn about the plants and animals of Purtis Creek while hiking!

Join a ranger for a guided hike to learn about common plants and animals, enjoy the sunshine, and do a scavenger hunt!

• Time: 2 pm - 3 am
• Meet: Beaver Slide Trailhead Parking Lot (we will be hiking ~1.25 miles). 
• Bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, good hiking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, & snack. 
• Cost: Free with admission ($5 per person 13+ years). Admission free with annual pass.

Purtis Creek has one grit wheelchair readily available for checkout. Please contact Ranger Jenna at Jenna.Lombard@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve & check availability.
