Connect with fellow Girl Scouts and experience the nature at Purtis Creek!

Participate in Girl Scouts Love States Parks weekend by joining us at Purtis Creek for some great activities! 

Art in the Park

• Theme: A moment you fell in love with nature
• Meet: Day Use Pavilion
• Bring: Clothes you don't mind potentially getting paint on, water, sunscreen, bug spray. 
• Time: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Guided Nature Hike

• Do a scavenger hunt, learn about the nature at Purtis Creek State Park, and help clean up the trail! 
• Meet: Wolfpen Green Trailhead Parking Lot
• Bring: Closed-toe shoes, water, sunscreen, bug spray, a snack, trash-bag, camera. 
• Time: 3 pm - 4 pm

Optional Self-guided Activities (Not Ranger-led)

• Hike along our trails and see what you can find! Stop by the park HQ to pick up a scavenger hunt!
• Fish along our banks or off of our piers! Don't have fishing poles or bait? The park HQ has you covered! Borrow free fishing equipment and buy worms and frozen bait there! 
• Become a Jr. Ranger and earn a badge by completing our Jr. Ranger booklet! Stop by the park HQ to pick one up and bring it back when it's completed to get sworn in! Ask the HQ staff about checking out a Jr. Ranger Backpack for your group! 
• Clean up the park! Stop by the park HQ for a trash bag and then hit the trails or walk around the Day Use Area to help keep Purtis Creek beautiful!
• Swim and cool off from the heat at the swimming area in the Day Use Picnic Area!
• Play volleyball or set up some relay races by the sand volleyball court next to the pavilion in the Day Use Picnic Area!
