Ray Roberts Lake State Park Photo Contest – 100 Years Edition

If you love photography and Texas State Parks, this year-long photo contest is just for you!

Join Ray Roberts Lake State Park in celebrating 100 years of Texas State Parks with a photo contest! We want to see your best photo that captures the essence of our park and what it is YOU still want to see in the next 100 years.

How to Participate:

• Photo entries must be taken within Ray Roberts Lake State Park Complex within the year of 2023
• Maximum of 3 photo entries per person (only 1 photo can be selected to win)
• Entries must be submitted electronically on Facebook by tagging your photo with BOTH of the #tags listed below
  1. Ray Roberts tag:  #RayRobertsLakeStatePark
  2. Photo Contest tag:  #100YearsEssense
• When entrance period is over there will be an album shared on the Ray Roberts Lake-Isle du Bois Unit Facebook page for preliminary voting
• Preliminary voting will be by the number of likes (or other reactions: hearts, hugs, etc.) so make sure to share the album and your photo with friends and family for voting!!
• The top 10 photos from the preliminary voting will be picked to move onto the final voting by our judges
• Judges will consist of local community leaders and 3 park rangers
• Once the decision of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, and honorable mentions are selected winners will be announced on our social media pages and contacted via Facebook to claim prizes

Dates & Things to Know:

• Photo Contest starts 1/1/2023 and entries must be submitted on Facebook by 11/27/2023
• 1 photo per person
• Voting on Facebook 11/30/2023 - 12/10/2023
• Judges vote 12/11/2023 - 12/15/2023
• Winners announced and contacted 12/20/2023 for claiming prizes
• 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners photos will be displayed in Nature Center for 2024
