Come see the wonders of the night sky with Buddy the astronomer. Clusters, shooting stars, constellations, and more!

Get ready to channel your night vision for an evening of star and galaxy viewing! South Llano River is one of the handful of state parks in Texas that is an International Dark Sky Park.

  • Come learn about light pollution, night sky wonder, and more at this special astronomy program
  • Red light flashlights are welcome but not required
  • Please keep other lights to a minimum to allow all of our eyes to adjust and enjoy the night sky views!
  • The viewing will begin at approximately 8:40pm in the Agarita Trail Parking lot
  • Nearby restrooms and a water refill station are available at the park's headquarters

Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: Be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
