As the leaves turn brilliant shades of gold, amber, and crimson, join us for a peaceful walk through the unique ecosystem of the bottomland forest. This hike offers a perfect opportunity to connect with nature, learn about local flora and fauna, and enjoy the crisp fall air.
Our guide will lead you along 1 to 2-mile trail journey with a few steep hills, offering fascinating insights into the forest’s ecology, seasonal transformations, and the wildlife that inhabit this forest. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer chasing fall colors, or just looking for a relaxing outdoor adventure, this hike is for you.

Location: Meet at the Amphitheater
What to Bring: Water, Closed-toe shoes, and Weather-appropriate clothing
Cost: Included with daily entrance fee. Adults are $5 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass. Want to speed up your entry process? Reserve online in advance.
Restroom Info: The nearest restroom is located on the RV Loop, so please plan accordingly.
