On April 12th, a historian from the San Felipe de Austin Historic Site will present on two key elements of Texas history: Austin’s Cannon and Jane Long. Learn about the cannon’s role in Texas’ early struggles for independence, as well as the pioneering spirit of Jane Long, one of the first women to settle in Texas and a key figure in the state's history.
This talk provides a fascinating glimpse into the past, offering insights into these historical figures and artifacts that played important roles in the development of the region.
