Join wildlife biologists and learn about managing your woodlands to benefit native plants and wildlife.

Healthy plant communities are important and provide human and wildlife value in many ways. This workshop will cover a variety of topics that can benefit the native plants and wildlife found in pine-oak woodlands.

Topics and activities include:

  • Learn about Lost Pines ecosystem
  • Planning Pine-Oak Savannah habitat restoration
  • Managing woodlands for wild turkey
  • Habitat restoration and conservation cost-share opportunities private landowners
  • Tools for implementing prescribed fire
  • Field tour of restoration project areas
  • Talk with wildlife biologists and land managers

  • Get wildlife and habitat advice
