- EXCELLENT. Water slightly stained; 80 degrees; 11.46 feet below pool. It has been another exciting week as the water continues to rise. The water is extremely muddy on the North to mid lake and stained on the south end. Striper fishing is excellent using live shad as bait in the 25-50 feet of water. There has also been some good action early on topwater. White bass are biting excellent on live bait, jigging spoons, and topwater early. Use extreme caution while boating. There is a wide range of debris floating in the water and also just under the surface, and many of the exposed trees are now under water. Please exercise safe boating while on the water.
