- GOOD. Water slightly stained; 83 degrees; 29.73 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 10 pounds. Some summer schooling has begun. Best bite is in the afternoon on 5-7 inch swimbaits in 8-22 feet of water. Whopper Ploppers are fair early before sun up. Crappie fishing is improving in the river around hardwoods in 12-18 feet. Small white jigs with red heads. White bass are fair trolling channels in the main lake on crankbaits. Catfish are good on chicken liver and stinkbait in shallow water .
