Baffin Bay Fishing Report

Oct 15, 2025
EXCELLENT. 85 degrees. Fishing is expected to be great this week on Baffin Bay. Conditions will be hot and dry early on in the week, with possible showers and a temperature drop leading into the weekend. Early mornings are starting to feel brisk. Our speckled trout bite has been stellar during these brisk early hours in about 2-3 feet of water throwing soft plastics, top waters and suspending twitch baits. Later in the morning, and into the afternoon, redfish have been spotted in shallow grassy areas. Redfish have not been as picky as speckled trout as far as the lure presentation and color goes. Redfish will pursue just about any color and profile if it is presented to them in a natural fashion. Speckled trout on the other hand have been favoring the classic red head white body lures in top waters and or suspending twitch baits. In chalky or dirty water, any darker colored rat tail or paddle tail paired with a chartreuse jig head has been producing solid strikes as well. Our bait source is plentiful right now in Baffin Bay, focus on dissecting a broad area and work it thoroughly. It will pay off! Stay safe out on the water and as always, tight lines!
