GOOD. Water stained; 83 degrees; 0.55 feet above pool. Water level 6 inches high and dark stained. Starting to see a slight thermocline 5 feet off the bottom. Bass are feeding actively in a summer pattern. Night fishing has been producing large fish. Crappie are great in 20 feet of water on minnows. Catching lots of channel and blue catfish in deeper water on humps and around structure. No reports on white bass this week. Report by Chris Caswell, Lake Bob Sandlin Crappie Fishing Guide. Check out the backs of coves for hydrilla and milfoil, fish patterns should draw bass out from cover. Top water patterns in lilies should be good at midday. Catfish are moving shallow, wooly buggers should work well. Clousers on sunny rocky shores might draw a strike. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Crappie are congregating on structure and as water temperatures climb to the upper 80s fish will remain in this pattern. Crappie are schooling on timber in 10-30 feet of water. Minnows are preferred over jigs. The quality of fish is phenomenal. Report by River Bottom Boys Guide Service.
