Buchanan Fishing Report

Jan 19, 2022
EXCELLENT. Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 4.89 feet low. Fishing remains similar as we head into a weekend with a cold front. Crappie are fair in 35 feet of water near the mouth of creeks using white/chartreuse jigs. Report by Jess Rotherham of Texas Crappie Fishing Service. White bass are very good on jigging spoons 30-50 feet of water. Hybrid bass and stripers are good trolling umbrella rigs, and drifting live shad. Catfish are fair to good on live cut shad, chicken liver, and punch bait. Underwater green lights are attracting hybrids and stripers and they are biting shad imitation baits at night. Report by Lee Benton, Fishing Guide Austin.
