Blue catfish are slow, channel catfish are good on punch bait. The report was provided by Chad Ferguson of North Texas Catfish Guide Service. Bass are good shallow, around bream beds and secondary points. Jigs and squarebill crankbaits have been working well. Main lake is good cranking around rock and flipping docks with wacky or neko rigs. Morning and evenings are the best bite. Shad spawn is hit-or-miss but look for them during early morning around shallow rocks and points. If you are able to locate the shad, weightless flukes and swim jigs have been getting bites. Report by Jeremy Matthews, local angler. Anticipate heavy traffic on the lake this weekend with the Memorial Day holiday. This week is National Safe Boating Week, for more information check out Texas Parks and Wildlife online and search for “Boating Safety Tips.” Happy Memorial Day!
