- GOOD. Water stained; 70 degrees; 45.42 feet below pool. Water level and water temperature are holding steady so the bite has been consistent. Bow fishing for gar has improved due to the warmer weather. Trophy catfish are in 3-30 feet of water with fresh cut or live shad and tilapia. Keeper catfish can be caught with live shad or frozen shrimp in 5 feet of water. Crappie are slow with a few catches in 10-20 feet of water. Bass are really good for numbers and size 3-10 feet of water near shallow rock with swimbaits and crankbaits. Report by Ram Reyes, Ram Outdoors.
