Jul 2, 2025
GOOD. Water stained; 89 degrees; 46.28 feet below pool. The bite has finally picked up for trophy catfish while fish are feeding in a post spawn pattern. Fishing at night in 5-10 feet of water has been key with live bait and fresh cut bait. Keeper catfish are in 3-10 around timber with shrimp and fresh cut bait on a Carolina rig. Gar fishing has picked up as well in Arroyo Veleno and the Tigers have been good rod n reel action, and excellent for bow fishing. Cut carp and tilapia have been the bait of choice targeting flats in 3-10 feet of water. Crappie are slow. Bass fishing is great on rocks in 8-15 feet of water with Texas rig plastics and deep diving crankbaits. Report by Ram Reyes, Ram Outdoors.
