May 31, 2023
GOOD. Water stained; 78 degrees; 34.97 feet below pool. The water level is on the rise and fish are scattered and shallow. Bow fishing is excellent, especially for gar. Catfish are good with stink bait and cut bait. Keeper catfish are shallow along the banks, and trophy catfish are in 20-30 feet of water. Bass are great on freshly submerged hard bottoms with chatterbaits. Quality bass are biting in 12-15 feet of water with jigs or crankbaits. Few reports of crappie fishing but look for post spawn fish to begin moving to brush piles and standing structure near the mouths of creek channels. Report by Ram Reyes, Ram Outdoors.
