- FAIR. 82 degrees. Bastrop Bay, Christmas Bay and the upper West Galveston Bay are good drifting for trout, redfish and flounder with live shrimp under a popping cork. Wade fishing in 3 feet of water in the guts is good for trout and redfish using croaker. The beach front been good for redfish and trout early in the morning using live bait and throwing topwaters.
