Martin Creek Fishing Report
- Sep 27, 2023
- FAIR. Water slightly stained; 86 degrees; 3.41 feet below pool. The lake level is low revealing exposed obstacles, with many just below the surface so navigate with caution. Bass fishing is improving with the cooler weather. Swimbaits and rattletraps over the hydrilla work well. Plum and watermelon red worms do well along the outer edge of the grass. Crappie are good with many limits caught suspended over brush using Bobby Garland jigs and minnows. Catfish remain good fishing on bottom in 15-20 feet of water using punch bait, nightcrawlers and minnows.
Zebra Mussel Alert To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters. Get details.
