O.h. Ivie Fishing Report
- Apr 23, 2025
- FAIR. Water slightly stained; 68 degrees; 23.12 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 12 pounds possible. Some fish are still spawning in 2-16 feet of water on long flat points with brush and back of small pockets on the main lake. Soft imitation shad or crappie plastic baits on a Shaky Head or wobble head have been working on beds. Best bite is on Texas rigged Hags tornadoes in F5 and F 6.5 on flipped around thick cover on main lake, but casting and dragging over the top of the brush will land catches. Crappie are slow with few catches to report. White bass schooling activity mid lake around the Lee Day area, with catches up the river on rattle traps and topwater baits. Catfish are good on drop lines, or rod-and-reel in 6 feet or less of water upriver. A variety of cut bait and stink bait is working best. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.
Zebra Mussel Alert To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters. Get details.
