- GOOD. Water slightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.29 feet above pool. Catfish are great in shallow water, and off the bottom in 10 feet of water with stinkbait, liver and cut shad. Crappie are hit-and-miss in shallow water, and in 10-15 feet of water on structure. Some female bass can be caught on shallow beds with rattle traps and soft plastics.
