GOOD. Water normal stain; 74 degrees; 45.49 feet below pool. Shad spawn are spawning throughout the lake, where there is shade there are shad. On the main lake there are massive amounts of shad on bluff walls. Conditions on the main lake are tough for bass fishing due to clear water, blue skies and the lack of wind. Bass are tucked into shaded spots out of the sun and sight of predators. Some bass can be caught along the grass with swimbaits. The best bite has been in the creeks targeting shady water in 5-25 feet or less. Downsize baits and slow your approach dragging small Ned rigs dragging slowly to catch 2-3 pound bass. Some bass are still on spawning beds. Report by Randal Frisbee, Central Texas Fishing Guide, LLC. Largemouth are great in the shallow grass near the inside grass line. Throwing worms and creature baits are getting the most bites. Small swimbaits and glidebaits and wakebaits are catching some big ones as well. Moving out deeper on the outside grass li especially in 10-20 feet of water you might get the even bigger bites throwing creature baits, jigs or shaky heads. Watermelon and Green pumpkin colors are working well. Dying the tails with chartreuse dye and garlic scent helps. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.
