Travis Fishing Report

Sep 18, 2024
FAIR. Water slightly stained; 89 degrees; 38.35 feet below pool. Lake Travis is fishing well. Fish are moving up since the water temp has come down some. Big groups of shad are coming in shallow as well for the bass to feed on. Crankbaits in shad colors are working well as well as your typical Texas-rigged worms, craws and jigs in watermelon and green pumpkin colors. A swimbait is a good choice right now also. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs. Largemouth bass are still in a summer pattern with an active bite on large topwaters, and dropshots on bluff walls and in the marinas. Seeing some bigger fish in the grass on the lower end. Look for bass to transition to fall locations in the coves as the weather cools. Cover water looking for a reaction bite on topwaters and a frog. Report by Randal Frisbie, Central Texas Fishing Guide, LLC.
