Walter E. Long Fishing Report
- Jun 25, 2025
- GOOD. Water normal stain; 87 degrees. Water temperatures are in the high mid to high 80s with good clarity. The boat ramp continues to be closed and blocked off through 2025, but kayaks and canoes can still be launched from the bank. Water levels are approximately 4-5 feet below pool. Successful techniques for bass include moving baits like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and chatterbaits. Soft plastics techniques are also working well, with Texas-rigged and wacky Senkos, dropshots, and shaky heads getting bit. Reports from the Thursday Night Tournament series saw a record number of inches caught with some of the largest limits reported by the long-time running tournament established in 2013.
