Big Bend Region Week of September 11, 2024
- Amistad
- FAIR. Water stained; 85 degrees; 65.84 feet below pool. Black bass are slow on main lake points. Finesse fishing on light fluorocarbon line with Ned rigs, drop shots, weightless senkos, wacky worms will increase your odds. Work your baits really slowly to better your odds for bites. Downsize, baits to small chunky creature baits, craws, and small jigs to better your luck. White bass are slow in 30-40 feet of water chasing bait balls up the rivers. Spoons, blades, small white grubs on jig heads will have the best results. Stripers are slow. Best of luck! Report by Captain Raul Cordero, Far West Guide Service.
Zebra Mussel Alert To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters. Get details.
