Big Bend Region Week of January 19, 2022

GOOD. Water clear; 50 degrees; 48.01 feet low. Fishing is starting to pick up just as we get hit with another cold front that will slow it back down. We have entered the winter pattern so fishing will fluctuate with the cold fronts. Still using finesse style presentations like Ned Rig and dropshots around bluff walls are producing limits of fish. White bass and striped bass are good below 30-feet following shad balls. Catfish are great on stink bait and cut bait. Remember to stay on the Texas side of the lake unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License. Report by Captain Olin Jensen, Jensen’s Guide Service.
