Big Bend Region Week of January 20, 2021
- FAIR. Water lightly stained; 56 degrees; 43.30’ low. Weather conditions have been on the Fisherman's side this week, and the fish activity has benefited since. Black bass are fair mixing in topwaters in the afternoon around vegetation, square-billed crankbait, and Carolina rigged worms. Vegetation, rocks, points, and drops continue to work along with traditional spots. White bass are good and starting to move closer to creeks. Catfish are fair on shrimp, chicken livers, and stinkbait dough balls, still more in the river than the main lake. Remember to stay on the Texas side of the lake unless you possess a Mexican Fishing License.
Zebra Mussel Alert To prevent the spread of zebra mussels, the law requires draining of water from boats and onboard receptacles when leaving or approaching public fresh waters. Get details.
