Special Permit Categories

  • All age requirements are at the time your application is submitted.
  • Applicants must be at least 8 years old.
  • Applicants under 17 years old must apply with a supervising adult that is at least 18 years old.
  • Applicants that are exactly 17 years old may apply alone or as a group member but may not be a supervising adult for a youth applicant.
  • Applicants 17 years old are considered adults.
  • Guided Hunt Packages are restricted to Adults Only.

E-Postcard Selection Hunts

  • Adult applicants must be at least 17 years old.
  • Youth applicants must be under 17 years old. Except federal age requirements for the Youth Waterfowl Season define a youth as someone 15 years old or younger.
  • There is no minimum age for youth in these categories.
  • Applicants under 17 years old must apply with a supervising adult that is at least 18 years old.
  • For Youth/Adult Categories, there must be at least one youth in your hunting party.

US Forest Service Antlerless Deer Permits

  • Applicants for the Adult - USFS Antlerless Deer Permits-Adult category must be at least 17 years old.
  • Applicants for the Youth - USFS Antlerless Deer Permits-Youth must be under 17 years old. There is no minimum age for this category.

National Wildlife Refuge Hunts

  • All age requirements are at the time your application is submitted.
  • Applicants must be at least 9 years old.
  • Applicants under 17 years old must apply with a supervising adult that is at least 18 years old.
  • Applicants that are exactly 17 years old may apply alone or as a group member but may not be a supervising adult for a youth applicant.
  • Applicants 17 and older are considered adults.
