Successful hunters will be required to use tags from their hunting license for harvested deer. Hunts are conducted by National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) staff. NWR rules and regulations will apply. Hunts may or may not be supervised.
Hunters have access to refuge 1.5 hours prior to official sunrise and 1 hour after legal shooting hours. Participation in a mandatory hunters' orientation is required for all hunters in order to hunt, due to biological monitoring; the hunters' orientation will take place on scout day, which falls on the Thursday before the hunt commences. Depending on the schedule for your specific hunt, you?ll need to attend the orientation at a specific time that will be sent out via email along with additional information.
