An Annual Public Hunting Permit (APH) is required for Standby entries to enter drawing. Hunting will be limited to specific compartments as identified on orientation maps. Some adjacent areas accessible only by boat or significant hiking by foot; not all hunt units have vehicle access; hunters should take this into consideration before applying for this hunt. ATVs and ORVs are prohibited. Hunters must visibly wear a minimum of 400 square inches of daylight fluorescent orange material, with at least 144 square inches appearing on both chest and back and orange headwear. All hunters must attend a mandatory orientation at 11:00 AM at the James E. Daughtrey check station on the first day of the hunt.
