General Access
Big Lake Bottom WMA is a primitive area with little development. There are no roads and few trails. Care should be taken to avoid getting lost. There is one information/registration station. The entrance is located at the end of CR 2901. Access from the Trinity River is prohibited.

Users may not be under the influence of alcohol or consume alcoholic beverages while engaged in hunting activities or publicly consume or display an alcoholic beverage while on the WMA.
Potable water and restrooms are NOT available at the WMA.
Permits Required
The Annual Public Hunting Permit (APH) allows an adult access to WMA designated public hunting areas for selected walk-in hunts and for E-Postcard hunts when drawings are conducted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department using the Drawn Hunts On-line System. All deer hunting is by E-Postcard drawing. The Limited Public Use (LPU) Permit allows an adult to bird watch, hike, fish, bike, etc. on the WMA; but they may not hunt on the WMA or possess firearms or archery equipment.
