Pat Mayse WMA USACE ordnance remediation project map

Beginning October 5, 2020, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Weston Solutions Inc. will be conducting an ordnance remediation project on the area. Work activity will be isolated to the immediate area around the trails highlighted in red below, and may include the use of ATVs, UTVs, tractors, rotary cutters, or chainsaws. Please be aware of your surroundings and obey all posted signage and verbal commands from USACE staff and contractors. For more information call Jacob White at (903) 905-2207.

Directions

The Pat Mayse WMA is located about 135 miles northeast of Dallas. Take IH 30 east to Sulphur Springs and connect to SH 19 heading north to Paris. In Paris turn north onto US 271 and go about 3.5 miles to FM 1499 and turn left heading west. On FM 1499 travel approximately 11 miles to the hunter check station.
