Wildlife Viewing
Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.
The North Unit is managed for wetland habitats and provides viewing opportunities for many wading birds, shorebirds, and waterfowl. The South Unit is predominately bottomland hardwoods and provides important habitat for many neotropical migratory birds and white-tailed deer.
A bird list for the area is available at the area HQ.
